What would cause my pulse to disappear when raising my arms above my head?

I’ve had an issue with weak/numb/tingling arms when I wake up in the middle of the night. A few months ago a doctor told me that my pulse disappeared when I raised my arms over my head, but he didn’t resolve any questions about it. What would cause such a thing?

it’s a classic sign of thoracic outlet syndrome, which fits with your arm symptoms, too. Go back to the Doctor, you have to find out what is causing the pressure in the thoracic outlet that makes your arms go weak and numb. There ARE stretching exercises for T.O.S. which you can
learn from a physical therapist.

If you are having numbness then I wouldn’t let it go too long.
