As for the Enigma sign, in 1994 there was the so-called ‘Publius Enigma’ riddle, which was (probably) a publicity stunt – look it up on wikipedia. At some shows, there were references to this riddle, but for the dvd, they apparently decided to remove it and change it to E=mc^2, which was shown at all other shows.
But then again, at the end of the dvd, you see the logo of Das Boot recording, which is… an Enigma decoder
