What does this pulse rate mean for me fitness wise?

My pulse rate is 76 per minute. I’m 14 years of age. Is this a good sign? Does it mean I’m healthy, or should I maybe exercise more?
i measured this just then =p
I’ve been sitting on this chair for about 20 mins, so I’ve been resting for a bit.

When did you measure this? There are so many variables here its not funny. You should have been resting for a while if you want to do a resting heart rate. If it is a resting heart rate. It is a bit high.

A lower rate means your heart muscle is more developed and therefore it pumps more blood in one beat and is more efficient so it needs less beats per minute. I think an average is about 60. Only you know how fit you are, But maybe you should recount if you didn’t do it properly. You should exercise for an hour a day (not continuous) at a moderate to vigorous intensity (eg. brisk walking, cycling) So if you don’t meet this, you probably need to exercise more.

Hope that helps.

A super fit person has a sub 60 heart rate, however normal is about 70.

So you’re pretty normal. But get more exercise if you can :)
