Pulse Motor – Butterfly Circuit Variation High Power Demo

Latest motor project showing the characteristic “no extra current draw” when the shaft is mechanically loaded.

In the first part of the video the motor has a 6 mm air gap between rotor and magnets. The second part of the video uses a 1 mm air gap.

The second half of the video is a high power test showing an input of almost 600 watts.

    Good progress.
It will be interesting to see the braking HP or at least some reference to actual torque. Then comparisons can be made from other systems on the market to this technology. I believe the world will be suprised at how much back EMF is wasted in current technology.

    Keep up the good work!

    Cheers

    Given that the …
Given that the coils are so hot… If the experiment showed the devicves I and V curves on a scope with phasing, etc.. and a torque measurement and the inputs and outputs, maybe others could make sense of what is really going on. The meters integrate whatever waveform applied and most likely are 50/60Hz tuned. So this is all very interesting, but without ‘correct’ instrumentation depicting inputs, outputs and the interelationships of the system, it is difficult to get stoked..

Thanks. Not really that fast though… but going for power not speed.
