Much more efficient than jet fuel. A good portion of jet fuel does not get burned in the combustion chamber which contributes to pollution. Hydrogen on the other hand burns very rapidly and much more efficiently, with near zero emissions. http://www.nasa.gov/centers/glenn/about/fs10grc_prt.htm
