Square Wave Pulse Resonance

This is a demonstration of resonance in an ungrounded coil using square waves. The free harmonics at the front of each square wave begin to combine constructively once the coil is pulsed at resonance.

This research is conducted to explain how the Steven Mark Toroidal Power Unit (TPU) extracts energy from the environment. For more information on my research, see the following threads on http://www.overunity.com:

    What is the first …
What is the first harmonics frequency? and What is the length 15 or 50 feet?
    I am sorta confused :o )

    “Excess output …
“Excess output energy” as in perpetual motion? Something for nothing? Let me know how that works out, okay?

    Interwinding …
Interwinding capacitance creates the ringing waveform produced at the low frequency demonstration with this unterminated coil circuit.

Car ignition coils produce the same ringing waveform from the series tank circuit formed with the points capacitor, thereby producing the secondary coil spark discharge.

Once I was in science lab class and I was playing with the oscilloscope and function generator, and I was looking at how the voice from AM radio looked on the oscilloscope as well as sine waves, so I turned on the radio and turned up the function generator to 1 Mhz and the radio went crazy.

    Thanks!!!
At 3.03 on the video it shows a square wave frequency of about 18 before it flat-lines.
    I would like to ask;
What controls the length of the square wave before it flat-lines into a same height & depth wave?

    the harmonics show …
the harmonics show how huge amounts of energy are resonating at the harmonic frequency. im really impressed jsut like music the amplitude is the energy and using the same amt makes more enrgy in the amplitude thats reallyyy awesome

    There is nothing …
There is nothing strange happening here except that the circuit is not completely understood by the experimenter. He really has a LRC tuned series circuit even though he does not put a component capacitor on the end of the coil. The grounding connection makes a different circuit that has much less capacitance and so the ability of the circuit to store at very high frequencies is lost. Nothing strange is going on here except lack of knowledge of fundamental wave analysis and electronics.

  24. MHZathras1 says:

    A similar thing on …
A similar thing on the trailing edge of the square wave is an indication of lower frequency boost or cut.

  25. MHZathras1 says:

    The shape of the …
The shape of the resultant wave from a passive circuit can be characterized by how the square ware is changed. The leading edge of the square wave being boosted or the appearance of a ringing spike, like is observed here indicates a circuit that is resonate at a much higher frequency. A change that is attenuated on the leading edge is an indication of a resonance at a lower frequency than the square ware source.
