I need to do an experiment on pulse rate and exercise for a gcse assignment. Then need to write up a report. Any ideas on how to go about it please?
Thanks
Well how about measuring how long it takes your pulse rate to return to normal after different periods of exercise?
For example – take your pulse rate at rest.
Now exercise(e.g. jog on the spot) for e.g. 2 mins, stop and take ur pulse rate, then 30 secs later take it again, etc until it is back to normal. Then, exercise for 5 mins and do the same and record how long to get to normal, then exercise for 10 mins and check again, then for 20 mins and check again. I suspect you will find that the longer you exercise for, the longer your pulse rate will take to return to normal. Good luck…
