How long does it take for one cycle of the pulse pressure wave to pass any point on an artery?

If one takes 20 m/sec as the velocity of the pulse pressure wave and a pulse rate (HR) of say 70 bpm as being typical, how long does it take for one complete cycle of the PP wave to transit any point on the systemic vasculature?

It depends which point on the arterial tree, of course, but a transit time of about 2.5 milliseconds would be average.
It is difficult to find published work on this because the medical profession conflates the PP wave and the cardiac cycle, and refer to them interchangeably as if they were one and the same.
They are not, of course. The cardiac filling and emptying cycle is about a second long, while the pulse pressure cycle is merely a blip, -a transient spike in pressure, a shock wave, in fact.

It travels through the blood ( which is at steady, non-pulsatile pressure on the gradient at the point in question) at roughly an order of magnitude greater than that at which blood flows down the arterial tree. Being merely a transient pulse it has no bearing on driving pressure.

Edit: The pressure at any point on the systemic vasculature remains essentially constant over the period of one heartbeat. It is non-pulsatile. It is steady and does not rise and fall between systolic and diastolic, as doctors and the rest of the medical profession believe it does.

Apart from the highly elastic root of the aorta, which does indeed act like a Windkessel, the rest of the aorta an all downstream arteries vary in pressure only slowly over short periods. Although misleading, this pressure might be termed "diastolic" because it doesn’t rise, -apart from when the transient spike of the PP wave passes through -, at any point on the gradient.

The cardiac rhythm (did you mean rate?) doesn’t necessarily get lower with age.

The pulse pressure may narrow because atherosclerosis causes the arteries to be less flexible.

Instructions:
Initialize the patch
First thing is throw some more portamento on there Id Say Around 54 or so
Next change the range to 14
Set oscillator Bs velocity to -4
Set Osc A to Sweeping Saw
Move the motion to -64, the octave to 2, the semi to 0, and the cent to -8
Switch on Osc B and also set it to Sweeping Saw
Set the motion to -64 and the octave to 4, the semi, to 7, and the cent to 8
Set the release to 28
Turn on the shaper and select clip set the amount to 127
Select the button near the volume on Octave A
On filter a turn the frequency all the way up
Pump up the volume to about 100
