When a product line has the reputation of maintaining MB Quart’s high performance, it needs to demonstrate all the attributes of design, quality and reliability that have been associated with the brand. MB Quart has been admired for over 45 years. The new Reference REF series amplifiers are all that, plus they are truly space conscious. Because they are made by MB Quart, outstanding performance and infinite variability is assured. MB Quart engineers have specifically designed the REF series for restricted spaces with extremely compact housing making nothing on the market today able to compete with the level and quality of power built into such a small chassis. The REF amplifiers can easily be mounted under seats or behind panels to provide amazing output in locations where other amplifiers simply will not fit.

Available in three models, the REF models are incredibly versatile. The REF4.50 and REF4.80 are 4-channel amplifiers that feature our Micro Size SMD A/B class design with PWM Pulse Width Modulated power supply and high speed MOSFET output devices for excellent sound reproduction. To power your subwoofers, look no further than the REF1.800 mono D-Class amplifier for a boost of extreme efficiency with outstanding MB Quart quality.
The REF series feature variable High Pass, Low Pass, Subsonic and Bass Boost adjustments as well as the latest system diagnostics from MB Quart to ensure the health of your new amplifier. The REF1.800 is factory linkable and allows for two REF1.800′s to be strapped at 2-Ohms and produce an astounding 1600watts rms!

New Products To Be Announced at SPIE Photonics West

January 21, 2010: Tourmaline TETA
To meet the increasing demand for industrial ultrafast laser systems, Del Mar Photonics has introduced the Tourmaline TETA – femtosecond regenerative Yb-based compact amplifier system. It produces 300-fs pulses with average power of 1 W. The pulse energy varies with repetition rate, with 50 uJ@20 kHz and 150 uJ@1 kHz. The system is mainly aimed at micromachining industrial applications, but can be easily used for scientific experiments, such as THz imaging, OPA pumping, remote sensing and ultrafast microscopy.
The system is fully PC-controlled, and offers high stability due to simple direct diode pumping scheme. Harmonic generator option with up to 4th harmonic conversion is also available.

January 21, 2010: Pearl
Pearl Er-doped femtosecond compact fiber laser from Del Mar Photonics is a femtosecond fiber laser operating in C-band (1530-1565 nm). The rigid design of the laser ensures insensitivity to physical and vibration impact, high stability, repeatability of initial specs and make it ideal for OEM applications. Pulse duration can be ordered in the range of 100 fs – 5 ps, pulse shape being close to transform-limited. The Pearl laser has average power rating of up to 50 mW and offer budget-friendly solution for low power applications, such as amplifier seeding. High frequency electrical output of the laser can be used as a trigger for system synchronization.

January 21, 2010: Reef-M
Del Mar Photonics introduces scanning autocorrelator for microscopy. The Reef-M provides two simultaneous measurements: one at the focal plane of the microscope and the other before the microscope input. The comparison of the pulse duration obtained in these two measurements determines the pulse broadening due to the dispersion of the microscope’s optics. Measurement of the temporal and spatial profile of the beam in the focal spot of the microscope is vital for any experiment as the shorter is the pulse the higher is the efficiency of the nonlinear process (2 or 3-photon excitation) and less energy is needed. It also ensures image optimization and correct intensity level to avoid sample damage.
Different models of the autocorrelator cover several wavelength ranges, with the Reef-MM model combining the ranges by using 3 sets of photodetectors and optics. Input pulse duration ranges from 10 fs to 6 ps.

January 11, 2010: Tourmaline A5
Tourmaline A5 series optical amplifiers are based on short and highly-doped glass fibers. They deliver Watts-level output power in a diffraction-limited, collimated beam at 1 micron. The overall short length of the gain fiber (20 centimeters) alleviates the detrimental nonlinear effects that accompany amplification of ultrashort laser pulses in conventional doped fibers based on fused silica glass. Tourmaline OA amplifiers are integrated with the internal pump source and control electronics. They present the user with a low-cost, one-box solution for boosting the output power from modelocked fiber-laser oscillators to the Watt range and beyond.

Tourmaline A5
Wavelength of operation: 1 mkm
Saturated average output power: 5 W
Saturating average input power: 15 mW
Output beam: Free-space, collimated, diffraction-limited
Dimensions: 35 cm (L), 8 cm (W), 4 cm (H)

January 11, 2010: Tamarack A1.5
Tamarack A1.5 series optical amplifiers are based on short and highly-doped glass fibers. They deliver Watts-level output power in a diffraction-limited, collimated beam at 1.5 micron.

This show you the parts needed and how you put them together

Hope you find it informative and helpful

And now some background to the weapons:

Shadowvex’s Sword: A large sword capable of deflecting most attacks. It never dulls or needs sharpening or anything like that. Now that the Shadowvex has two firearms, the sowrd is mostly for show.

Shadowvex’s Guns: Both weapons are single-shot, energy pulse blasters. The Panrahk-staff-ends on his first gun and the rear blades on the second gun are energy amplifiers, which increase the power of the energy shots (this is why they disintegrate people’s heads). On his second gun, the front blades are for hand-to-hand combat in close quarters.

Iskarl’s Gun: A dual-barrelled, single-shot, energy pulse blaster. The central, scythe-like blade is both an energy amplifier and combat blade. Because there is only one energy amplifier between two barrels, the shots fired are weaker than Shadowvex’s weapons. The two barrels can fire simultaneously for a masive blast, or alternatley for a more rapid barrage of shots
