LYRICS:

harder.better.SLOWER.stronger.

i i i if it dont kill me..
my dig will make me stronger
i take it for heart failure,
so that i can live longer
it drops my heart rate and pressure,
it makes my heart beat better
it decreases renin release,
and it will make me go pee!

work it harder, make it better
do it SLOWER, makes us stronger!

i need it right now!

lets take it correct
you could be really sick or dead
zero point five to two is fine
any more than that and you’ll be dyin!
awesome the toxic is hard to ignore
man they dont make em like this anymore
i ask cuz i’m not sure
do anybody know the signs anymore?
notice the signs here they are now
nausea vomit and fatigue yeah
notice my appetites gone yo
visual disturbances like van gogh
so go ahead, give k, replace it
antidysrhythmic drugs – go take it!
atropine, digibind, decrease it
they caught it quick so maybe you’ll live

i i i if it dont kill me..
my dig will make me stronger
i take it for heart failure,
so that i can live longer
it drops my heart rate and pressure,
it makes my heart beat better
it decreases renin release,
and it will make me go pee!

work it harder, make it better
do it SLOWER, makes us stronger!

i need it right now!

i dont know if you know the implications or not
apical pulse, loading dose, and teaching a lot
if interactions are in the plan or not
i’m trippin, i’m missing k plus a lot
but I know that im feelin lots better now
so how does it work? let me tell you how
i’m trippin cause this calcium is like wow
its outside the cells and going in, right
sodium, potassium they’re inhibited
don’t try to tell me you’re not riveted
heard we’re gonna be givin it IV
its gonna onset in about 30
peaking out at about 4 hours see
for 3 or 4 days its gonna stay in me

uhh digoxin you’re makin it
harder better SLOWER stronger.

i i i if it dont kill me.. my dig will make me stronger
i take it for heart failure, so that i can live longer

Pertinent Medical Vocabulary

β1 Receptors – when activated by adrenergic impulses, β1 receptors located in the sinoatrial node of the heart stimulate an increase in heart rate. For example, these might get a lot of action when an alluring crush is nearby.

M3 Receptors – a cholinergic impulse to these muscarinic receptors in the smooth muscle of the gastrointestinal tract will induce emesis. Translation: you will puke.

Anhedonia – an inability to experience pleasure from previously pleasurable life events and activities.

Apical Impulse – A cardiac impulse that is produced by the motion of the anteroseptal wall of the left ventricle against the inner chest wall. It is located most commonly in the 5th intercostal space, medial to the midclavicular line. When examining women during this part of the cardiac exam, the left breast should be lifted out of the way by the patient to facilitate palpation.

T4 – The T4 dermatome is an area of skin localized at the nipples, which is supplied by nerve fibers originating from the dorsal nerve root of thoracic spinal nerve 4. Also, T4 is a fabulous group of ladies.

No Scrubs in Med School – Lyrics

A scrub is a guy who thinks he’s fly
got a stained white coat and a clip on tie
when he’s looking like trash,
but you’re looking like class
now he better leave the lab
and he better leave it fast cause NO!

I don’t want no scrub, scrub is a guy who can’t get no love from me
creeping at the body to the side, checking out my, hide,
please stop bothering me!

check it

If you’re not in class on your birthday
oh yes son, I’m talking to you.

If you’re not down for Morning Rounds
oh yes son, I’m talking to you.

If you’re caught in lab, with your flipiflopies
oh yes son, I’m talking to you.

Trying to get with me when you smell funky, Oh no, I don’t want no

nooooo, scrubs, nooo, scrubs

Break it down!!!

Chilling in Centennial ’round your sandwich machine
I’m going crazy in Alumni, all I need is caffeine!

Trying to impress me with your score on the boards,
where’s the whole care physician, show your skills on the wards!

You think youre beta1, that you’ve got my heart going
but you’re really M3, you got my nausea flowing!
and I puke, in, my mouth.

what what well, I’m, jamming at the gym with my mp3
don’t be bringing up school, girl you’re bothering me!

Hey tell me teach, what anhedonia be,
Oh snap, I KNOW, it’s when that scrub’s by me!
You’re a jerk, I know
You’re a jerk, I know

You’re a jerk, jerk, jerk

You know ’bout those scrubs, is they always want more!
They always want more?
Yeah, they always want more!
They checking apical impulse, but they go for T4!!
T4?!
T4
T4
T4

NO! I don’t wanna see your facebook, no, I don’t wanna show you mine, and no, I don’t wanna meet you nowhere, no, don’t want none of your time NO!
