So it "feels" really high but you don't know if it is in fact really high. You can either take your blood pressure at home or at most pharmacy locations there's blood pressure machines to use (Walmart, CVS, Walgreens etc)

If you have medical issues then see your regular doctor before beginning an exercise program. If you haven't had any medical issues and there is no history of illnesses in your family and you are just being overly paranoid, then go to the gym and make an appointment with a personal trainer who is certified in running a diagnostic evaluation of your fitness level. Most upscale gyms have certified experts in this (Sports Club LA, LifeTime Fitness, East Bay Club, Houstonian Club, Athlete's Performance, Equinox, Bosse Sports,)
References :
Go to your doctor for a full physical, and then if the results are OK, go to a gym and get a trainer to set up a newbie program for you.
