  • Possible panic attacks?

Posted by admin on December 29th, 2009 and filed under apical pulse | 1 Comment »

I have had a lot of stress lately and I have had panic attacks before. I have noticed that for the past 3 nights, I have woken up with my heart pounding out of my chest, but the crazy thing is, I check my apical pulse and its normal :/ My breathing rate is normal, I’m not sure what is causing this crazy fast pace heart rate feeling in my chest. Its not when I’m completely asleep, just about 30 minutes after laying down. I’m not really thinking about anything but is it possible that I am still thinking about things in the back of my mind that are stressing me out?

Maybe That can be the reason or it can be something else I’m no doctor but you maybe should consider going to see one

When unconscious what happens to blood pressure and pulse rate?

Posted by admin on December 29th, 2009 and filed under pulse pressure | 1 Comment »

I was told your pulse rate gets slower which causes your blood pressure to get higher? But that doesn’t seem right to me?
    Thanks :)

Unless there is pain or injury of some kind, b/p and pulse will move in the same direction, generally downward b/c body systems will be more relaxed and less responsive to exterior stimuli. (Think sleep unconsciousness.)

STRESS will cause both to go up.

IF unconsciousness is caused by injury or pain there could be an increase of both b/p and pulse, but if there is bleeding b/p could drop while the heart races to create a balance, but at that point the individual is pretty much bled out and the issue is moot.

Why do we need a 555 timer to power up an infrared transmitter?

Posted by admin on December 29th, 2009 and filed under pulse power | 2 Comments »

Someone please tell me why do we need to pulse the IR transmitter. Why is there a need for signals and frequencies?

    Three reasons:

    1. There is a lot of dc background IR (e.g. from the sun, from incandescent lamps). So by using a frequency, you can use a frequency-selective filter to respond only when that frequency is detected. The frequency serves as a carrier frequency that you can modulate with the information of interest.

    2. Different frequencies can be used to allow different IR devices to communicate without interference from each other.

    3. And as Jake said, you need a frequency if you want to transmit more than just on or off.

You don’t have to use a 555. There are many other oscillators and microcontrollers that would work.

I am having a fast pulse rate and heart palpitations. Should I be worried?

I also have chest pain once in a while. But I haven’t had chest pain
for a while because my head has been hurting. Now that the doctor is sending me to a heart doctor my chest started hurting again. Is this all in my head. I also have a anxiety problem.

anxiety can cause your heart to race and cause palpitations….

All of your symptoms can be caused by anxiety, but it’s always better to be safe and rule out anything else.

In the movie, Orphan, did Esther succeed in killing Daniel in the ICU at the hospital?

Posted by admin on December 29th, 2009 and filed under pulse oxygen | 2 Comments »

You see Esther take off his oxygen mask and little finger pulse thingy, and smother him with the pillow, and his eyes were still like death. But then the doctors came and said, "I found a pulse." Help?

I’m positive that he survived. I think when Kate is calmed down and drowsy from the drug, her husband tells her to not worry about Daniel and that he will be staying at the hospital for a couple of days.

When unconscious what happens to blood pressure and pulse rate?

That pattern of rise in blood pressure and slowing of the pulse rate is only likely if the unconsciousness is due to a rise in the pressure inside the skull, perhaps as the result of a head injury. The rise in blood pressure is the body’s attempt to push more blood into the swollen brain, and the slowing of the pulse is the body’s response (in a different department) to the high blood pressure. In other forms of unconsciousness the patterns are different, but generally involve drops in blood pressure with compensating rises in the pulse rate.

Were they any changes in blood pressure, pulse rate and pulse pressure during post-exercise compared to resting?

Posted by admin on December 29th, 2009 and filed under exercise pulse | 1 Comment »

what the physiology behind exercise making this changes?

When you exercise the body begins to use glycogen for energy, after those stores are depleated it will use glucose and then adipose tissue(fat), i may have it backward(sorry).

Exercising (during) increases heart rate because O2 is needed in these processes, with the heart rate goes the pulse and blood pressure drops. a person who has a good physical fitness program will have a lower pulse, lower blood pressure, and a low heart rate post exercise, the body is in a state of well being.

HOw should I perform an experiment on music and pulse rate?

Posted by admin on December 29th, 2009 and filed under pulse rate | 1 Comment »

I want to do an experiment for our scence class on the effect of music on pulse rate. How should i Perform this?

ARe you going to have the listener strapped in a chair so they can’t move?

OR u let them move by dancing around?

What is it you’re trying to prove?

Does music give an increase on pulse rate if a listener is in a zero movement condition?

Will a test subject sit still to listen to music?

Go down to the local drugstore and buy a pulse rate machine..they are inexpensive and accurate.

How do u keep the test subject from moving their head while they keep up with the beat of the music?

You could attempt to strap everything down, but very few humans like sitting still.

Try it on urself first…see how long you can sit still to full versions of Beethoven’s 5th, or Led Zeppelin….or music from Queen….or LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOOR! dead pool…or Paul Oakenfold’s Ready Steady GO…What about Tchaikovsky’s War of 1812? or Mursovky’s: Night on Bear Mountain? What about FRANK SINATRA…NEW YORK NEW YORK!

How do I switch off my Silva Pulse pedometer?

Posted by admin on December 29th, 2009 and filed under pulse | 1 Comment »

I have a Silva Pulse pedometer and can’t turn it off. Their website couldn’t help me any further…
    Can anyone help me?

    Kay:

Most pedometers operate by a tiny pendulum that swings as you walk and operates a step counter circuit. It is usually totally mechanical with a low power watch battery powered circuit to count the steps and convert it to distance. You probably cannot turn it off. You probably just have to change the battery every few years.

Album : The Pulse of Awakening
    Track : 10
    ——————————————-
    LYRICS

We must play our lives like soldiers in the field
But life is short Im running faster all the time
Strength and beauty destined to decay
So cut the rose in full bloom

til the fearless come and the act is done
A love like blood, a love like blood

Everyday through all frustration and despair
Love and hate fight with burning hearts
til legends live and man is god again
(and self-preservation rules the day no more)

We must dream of promised lands and fields
    That never fade in season
As we move towards no end we learn to die
Red tears are shed on grey

    Duration : 0:4:44
